Sakski & Ryan October 24, 2009

....these 2 crazy kids got married several weeks back , and i've been a tad tardy posting with work & my vacation sandwiched in---but better late than never.
The weather was supposed to be horrible that day ( Ryan and I had an expletive filled conversation about the impending conditions that day over the phone several days before), so we had all sorts of alternate plans on what to do.

BUT

The weather RIGHT WHEN WE HAD TO SHOOT OUR FORMALS CLEARED UP LIKE MAGIC. IT WAS AMAZING. Blustery yes, but rain---NADA So we managed to head to the beach where they got engaged and do our stuff---

Now heres a really cool fact - they are having a 2nd ceremony/reception in India - with something like 500 guests and Ryan is arriving in a traditional outfit, on horseback with a sword in hand (!!!). Sadly I will not be there - but was so happy to be able to share this portion of their wedding adventure!

On our way to the beach--it was a tad cold so the guys gave the gals their jackets---so valiant!

You know - the "Rock Band" shot :)

I love me some backlit archways---

make him smile, dammit!!!

not long after this, it starting raining---pouring...again!

we were in quite a rush at this point to get to the reception at the Mystic Marriott ,but I said --"...PLEASE give me like 1 minute to grab this shot." on the way out of the beach back to the cars

best of luck with wedding round 2 you guys - can't wait to see some images from that!!!

Lauren & Andrew's engagement session-Central park

...right before I hightailed it to Florida for a little Vay-Kay last week, I had a great e-session in NYC with Lauren and Andrew. They're getting married next July at Harkness State Park (catered by the always amazing-my-stomach-is-rumbling-already A Thyme To Cook)
They wanted a superb Fall day - and thats just what we had.

Enough of my jabbering on - take a look for yourself!

honestly - one of my favorite shots this year--no joke

NO, they are not hidden in this shot somewhere, but I thought it was cool--

Congrats you two - looking forward to next July 17th!

Rachel & Will's e-session

Rachel and Will and getting married next April in New York with a reception to follow at the beautiful Tappan Hill, in Tarrytown . They live in LA and work in The Biz, so getting out schedules synced was a bit tricky. (we postponed once due to crap-o-rama weather) We got it together and I met them in NYC on the Brooklyn Bridge for their shoot

you KNOW I can't help myself with the 'vintage' stuff---

Mr Tilt-Shift strikes again---

looks like I got me a pair of frustrated Rockettes.

we ended our afternoon in City Hall park, as i could NOT pass up that groovy fountain!

Jessica & Justin's engagement session!

It is truly an autumnal e-session bonanza this month, as everybody wants The Leaves, you know? These 2 crazy kids are getting married next May at Harkness Park in Waterford CT ; a locale i've been to many, many times but never tire of since it is simply oozing with character and great spots for photos.

with this shot I thought to myself : the warm, golden colors are EASY and a safe bet -- lets go for the drama instead.

I was trying to go for some a tad more artsy-fartsy with this; more in the realm of painting than a photograph.

I must admit - this set of photos were taken the day after my previous post at the same location -- and it's always a challenge when doing to the same location as how to keep it fresh and not copy yourself. We had completely different light this day - which REALLY changed the way I found myself shooting.
